Hi,

I'm wanting to display the list (records) in a seperate module to where the form is held, however, I'm unable to get it to sync, so that when a record is submitted via the form, it automatically shows on the list in a module located on another page.

I also tried to locate the SQL table so that I could possibly enter a filter statement in the list I want specific records to appear, but unable to track it down.

It's worth noting that I have multiple instances of F&L on my site.. Is it possible there's a conflict and it doesn't know which records to pull? By Exporting and Importing the content, it's works fine and displays the records as expected.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong please?

Hi,
you can try IMC --inner module communication to implement it.  Here is an acticle for you to reference.

Hello..
Maybe try this.
One your main F&L module, create a new column called Show and setup it's type to True/False.
Then on another page, setup a reference to your main F&L module.
Within this referenced F&L, under the Form & List Configuration, under Page Related Settings, you'll see List Settings; expand this.
Within this area, you'll see the Search and Filter Options, and the Filter Statement.
Enter the following Filter statement to display just those items which have Show checked.

[Show_UDT_Original] = 'True'

Once you save this configuration, you'll see the items which have the "Show" check box checked.
Hope this is what you're looking for accomplishing.  Thanks.. -Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the suggestion.

I did manage to work around this issue as I have multiple F&L modules on my Intranet site. What I done was:

- Added the module on page 1
- On page 2, copied an existing module (without clicking the check box to copy content)
- Changed the F&L config to just display the list
- On page 2, moved the F&L module I created to page 1.

Hello..
That's good to hear that you were able to get something working.

We've configured most of our items pages to F&L modules.  We have a main F&L module and all the other pages reference this main F&L module and through filtering and XSLT sheets, have the information we desired, displayed on each page.

And there's another site we will be updating (currently testing), and one of our main complaints after switching to DNN was that "I use to only have to update one page and it showed up on three other pages".  Through referencing a main F&L module, the use of the XML module and the F&L dataprovider, filtering and the XSLT sheets, have accomplished just that.  Update one page and it's shown on three separate pages automatically.

The F&L module is quite powerful and it's amazing by what can be accomplished with it.  -Jeff
