I installed the latest version of DNN 6.0 and got some trouble with localization user interface.
Earlier I used DNN 5.X and everything worked OK. .

After installed DNN 6.0 I copied .ress files from DNN 5.X into the appropriate folders in DNN 6.0, adding new language Serbian (Cyrillic) in Admin -> Languages and everything looked OK, but when I opening any pages on the menu, a message appears:

Server Error in '/ DNN' Application.
The resource can not be found.
Description: HTTP 404th The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: / dnn / en-gb cyrl / admin / languages.aspx

What I can do with it? How to set/fix it?

can you install a http proxy such as fiddler and capture the request trace so we can have a look at it - at a guess i'd say that a page name contained cryllic text and was causing a parsing error (its only recently that non-ascii pages were accepted by browsers and even more recently that non-ascii domain names were accepted)

that looks fine to me i.e. youre on the home page and click to change the language -im not sure what a 404 is shown -it could be related to you copying over files rather than installing a language pack I guess, but i cant understand why that would occur. Could you please open a bug at support.dotnetnuke.com about this and export the language pack for the serbian files so we can see if we can reproduce it.

We have two different issues in your case.

First of all your language pack is broken. It contains a file with name “Full ?????? (??????).dnn”, so it could not be installed

Second one (404s) is related to the fact that the DNN 6.0 does not support the localization for languages with three parts in the language culture code (zz-xxxx-yy).

It is a known issue scheduled to fix in the future releases.

Thanks
