version 6.0 when I log in I have to refresh or go to a new page then I will show I am logged in.  And while logged in if i go to another page it wont show me logged in until I refresh that page.  Seems like a cache issue or something not being refreshed for those logged in.  Like it should almost have another page name for being logged in from not logged in so that the app can cache both pages and the users dont get frustrated.

I have not had many forum posts since I switched over to DNN on my hobby site which use to get tons of posts fwith phpbb.  I have been using this site to test DNN thinking I would gain more features for the site as a whole... I really pissed off my community with this system over the past year with promises it will get better... which it has but just not fast enough to regain my community support.  Of coarse this is not a clean install upgradeing from 5.6.3 to 6 and has been updated but I dont believe it was this bad prior to 6.0.  Maybe some configuration I am missing to make log in work like it should?  Any core files or anything I should be looking into to modify to make this work?

Also I use more than one account on this website for instance the HOST and the Admininstrator web pages. Seems like when I log into host things go smoother so maybe just a cache issue on my end hopefully.

please check that you are not running webgardens (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Webgardens.aspx) - this is not a supported configuration and would show up with effects such as this (or a 404 after you add a webpage i.e. one thread adds it and updates the cache, the next thread does the redirect request but is not aware of the page as the cache on that thread is out of date)

Ok thanks for the help I run IIS on 2003 server and one app pool per DNN installation. Wouldnt this not be considered a web garden?

its nothing to do with the number of sites in the app pool - it's the number of worker processes that the site operates under (more than 1 is a webgarden - see the wiki page i posted earlier)
