My spec is to have a simple file download module that will count downloads off of an Image link request. I have searched Snowcovered products and can not find something that can accomodate my spec. SmartDownload was close.  Can anybody suggest a module that can meet these minimum requirements.  Again,  must download file by clicking image and must keep count of successful downloads, not clicks.

have you tried the documents module - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Downloads/Projects-Downloads.aspx . You could always create a custom fork of it and make your own version if it's close but not exact for your needs.

Thanks Cathal.

I comm'd with Mitchel about this.  Was looking for something that already had the minimum requirements before I modified the DNN Download project.  But your suggestion may need to be the way I go,  Thanks Again.

You may also want to check out Ventrian:

He just recently added download count but I'm not sure if it works on clicks or actual downloads.

Repository module will do what you want .. sort of... not sure how you would measure a 'successful' download vs a 'click', but  it will allow you to present a module of downloads that the user can trigger by clicking on an image.  See the Repository Admin/Users Guide for more info
