I'm new to DNN module development and using Chris Hammond's template (http://christoctemplate.codeplex.com/). When I create a folder in my module project, the folder and its content won't copy on the target machine when I install my module on other computers. I noticed that my folder is not present in the module's zip package. What should I do so VS2010 would copy my folder in the zip package?
Thanks

the most typical way to do this is to wrap all of your files and folders up into a resources.zip file and then reference that in the dnn manifest file - dotnetnuke will then unzip this file on install, preserving your directory structure - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Manifest-ResourceFile-Component.aspx

If you using that template it only copies the folder if the folder includes files that is specified in the ModulePackage.targets.
I had some problems with images. I solved it by adding .png .gif etc in that file.

If changing the file you have close and reopen the solution before building in release mode.

Some folders are also exluded make sure your folder not have one of those names.

Thanks Jan. I added <InstallInclude Include="Media\*.*" /> to the ModulePackage.targets file. It copied all the files of the folder Media into the root folder of the module. How can I tell it to copy "the folder AND its contents" so a folder called Media would be created on the target machine?Thank you very much

I had the same experience.
I had a images folder.
I solved it to define all extentions in the folder.
<InstallInclude Include="**\*.png" />
etc..
