Hello,

I am running DNN 6 Enterprise.

I am having trouble indexing a custom module that implements ISearchable.  When I manually trigger a site re-index in the Schedule module, GetSearchItems runs properly and builds a SearchItemCollection (I can see it when debugging), but the items in the collection never appear in the search tables in the database.  Only content from static DNN pages are in the search tables.

Has anyone experienced this issue and what is the resolution?

Thanks,
Anthony

Anthony,
I would start by double checking to make sure

1) That in the Extension listing for the module it shows ISearchable being checked
2) (After verifying #1) That you have the module on a page

Chris,

Thanks for replying.  I checked those things and the module is marked as searchable and the module is on a page.

Does search require any special permissions to DB user accounts?

The search shouldn't require anything. Can you try debugging the functionality in your development environment?

Have you checked the History or the EventLog table to see if when the search runs your module throws any errors.

No errors appear in the event log or schedule history table. The schedule history table has "Completed re-indexing content" messages so everything seems fine there.

I can debug breakpoints in the GetSearchItems method for the module. The searchItemCollection is built properly. I cannot step out of that method to the core DNN functionality to see what happens after GetSearchItems. Is there a way to debug the core DNN code?
