I'm installing DNN 6.0.1 with SQL Server Express 2008 R2 on Windows Server 2008 .    Following the Readme.txt that came with DotNetNuke_Community,  I edited the connection string to

How do I tell it the uid and pwd?  I'm receiving the following error.

DotNetNuke Error

The Installation Wizard will take care of all of this for you. There is no need to manually edit web.config.

So ... undo all of the changes you've made (or copy from the install package) and browse to your site. That should start the wizard. Follow the prompts and add the information that is requested.

when setting up the database for SQL Server Express, use "SQL Server" connection type, if you are using an attached database. Use "Express" connection type, if you want to use user instanced database.mdf file, which is supported by Express only and cannot be attached to the server the same time.

Where could I possibly find the step-by-step tutorial on how to setuo DNN 6.0.1 with SQL Server Express 2005 (attaching or creating the db)?

It's vital for me to have it done properly since there are limitations in DNN modules (e.g. in Form and List the text box length is limited in db to only 50 characters) which I must edit in MS SQL Server Management Express Studio to have the entries number suited to my needs.

BTW, can't the 50 chars number be increased at last in the DNN installation package? Ever since I have been using DDN (i.e. No 5.0.0) the limit hasn't been eased. I am planning to use the module extensively and still waiting for the solution.

Links which I found are too much personalized (http://www.dynamicdataworks.com/notes...) or obsolete (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/B...).

Any detailed instructions will be appreciated.
