Is there a data provider for this database?  If not, would anyone have an opinion on using Cache as a database backend for DotNetNuke?

Thanks,
Ling

AFAIK, there are only default MSSQL provider, there are commercial Oracle and MySQL providers and there is upcoming a firebird provider.

I do not see an advantage of caché, as its object related features will not get used by DNN.

True...DNN is not designed to run on Cache, so there would be little or no benefit to the PRDBMS; however, I think I could try some custom module development with the DB as a backend.  I am just thinking about it...nothing really serious, yet.

Thanks for your response!

you can use it in your module as second database to store your objects without need to use it for all other portal stuff - this saves you from creating a DataProvider for core and all other modules.

Cool.  Have you tried the Cache product?  Anyone else?  Is it worth my time even looking at it?  What would I benefit from it if I am already using SQL Server 2000 for my custom modules (separate database and server, by the way)?
