What's the process for installing DNN6 on Azure? Is it natively installable now, or does it require a separate installer?

Thanks Stephen I had seen it, but I read something else that seemed to contradict it, saying that DNN6 was natively installable on Azure. Hence the question.

I was kind of hoping it meant that DNN had created an Azure package along the lines of the Web Platform Installer package. So is Accelerator still the way to install DNN on Azure?

Yes.  The DNN Azure Accelerator is the best way to install DNN on Windows Azure.  David is doing a great job on the Accelerator and we continue to work with him to provide guidance and assistance where it makes sense.  There really is no reason for us to re-create the wheel here.

I have installed DNN6 on Azure using the accelerator recently,

It was the easiest deployment I done, it was easier than using Visual Studio. I am going to keep using it.

Just make sure you have all your Azure Credentials before hand , make sure you create and use an affinity group. This wasn't 100% clear , there was a mention on using an affinity group but make sure you do this first setup your affinity group, then your db server (adding it to your affinity group) then your storage and leave your hosted service until the Accelerator Wizard does its job.

The only let down after installing my new DNN 6 on Azure was that 2 key modules i purchased did not work on Azure, their SQL scripts failed on install. So what I had to do was create a subdomain such as http://members. and create a normal DNN6 install there.

So my front facing site is on Azure - SQL Azure but the members section is hosted on a normal server with SQL 2008.

If anyone wants the link to see it running give me a shout.
