Hello to everybody,

Dotnetnuke version : 05.06.02 (144)

I have the problem in page which contains special characters 'ë'.
Those page that contains this character 'ë' does not open and i can't change the settings in that page, the error is below:

The page cannot be displayed

Explanation: There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed.

Try the following:

  • Refresh page: Search for the page again by clicking the Refresh button. The timeout may have occurred due to Internet congestion.
  • Check spelling: Check that you typed the Web page address correctly. The address may have been mistyped.
  • Access from a link: If there is a link to the page you are looking for, try accessing the page from that link.

Technical Information (for support personnel)

  • Error Code: 500 Internal Server Error. The request was rejected by the HTTP filter. Contact the server administrator. (12217)


I tried from Host-SLQ by executing the query to change page name,tittle,description from char 'ë' to 'e' and  it works but i want the pages to contains this letter!

So please can anybody help me with this "phenomenon" ?

it's an ISA issue as far as I know, you'll need to disable a security setting if you want to use non-ascii characters- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/837865
