Hi Roger

This is very good news and it is also great that you took the time to canvas opinions. Thanks.

I have looked  at your links and make the following comments.

The set up panel in the second link looks good and it is interesting to read the strategies for detecting robot submission. I suspect that some of these if included in your implementation will generate some support emails but that their omission may do the same.

From my point of view: given that all us EEC people have to comply with some form of Disability & Discrimination law as it applies to legibility of content and controls on websites, means that the noise and font controls are very important. (Compounded by the lack of audio support (for now.)

I see that case sensitivity defaults to false but it might be useful to have an exposed setting for this.

If captcha settings where implemented as in your second link I would be very happy.
This might also help other developers to use this control instead of the various lesser ones in use right now.

Finally
I was really pleased to see that your significant contributions and brain have led to your joining the core team.

Cheers

Ian

Hi Roger

Having now read your post properly I see that you do not plan to expose any settings.
I can understand this but settings such as font size and noise are important.

Personally I would have no problem with editing some separate file to make adjustments but of course this is often not possible with these wrapped controls (whose naff style options often leave me looking for alternatives).

 Cheers

Hi Ian,

Thanks for you input and kind comments.

I'll look to expose the settings that you (and others) see as important. It would be possible for those who know how to edit the .ascx to pretty much use any of the others, since they are exposed in the wrapper Chris Paterra provided, I just think it is far to much flexibility to expose as standard. Bear in mind I'm just configuring this up for the Fedback module, not as a general developer tool.

Yes, I think we should have audio, but I understand from Chris that when the wrapper was created, audio wasn't available. In theory (I think) all that is needed are the audio files located in the right place in the website. However these aren't currently available with the DNN distributions. I will check with Chris to see if I can distribute them as part of the module. All that is subject to licensing....

If you could add your needs here - http://dnnfeedback.codeplex.com/worki... - I'll try to get them added.

Cheers
Roger
