Hello,

I would like to know how to use the store module in a multilingual context. I currently have a language switcher and use Apollo PL for pages.
I see the module labels and other information well localized. However, I have not find the way to insert text in multiple languages for the product themselves. The product content seems to be just one. Could someone explain how it works?
I am currently using en-US and fr-fr.

Thanks

Franco

Hi Franco,

Currently the Store module is not multilingual, but this is on my loonnngggg to do list. You can't have have a Store with a different language in the same portal because the catalog is portal wide!

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi Gilles,

do you have a forecast for when you might have it ready? In other words, is that on top or on the bottom of your looong list? ;-)

If it helps raising it from the stack, this one is a critical feature for us in Europe... definitely a must.

Thanks

Franco

Hi Franco,

I know how it can be important, I'm French! :-)

Making the module multilingual is NOT so simple, I have to change almost all the Data Layer and the Business Layer. That's around 70-80 % of the module to rewrite AND test, this is why it will be done only in the next major release. Don't expect it before several months, may be for the end of the year.
