I have a security group for my content editors but I do not want them to have access to the module settings or the ability to delete the module. I have set the delete, manage settings and full control to red Xs but still they get the settings button at the bottom of the module and the on the module menu dropdown they still have settings and delete.

Our current version is 5.04.01 (26).

What am I missing to get this to work?

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Kelsey

Kelsey,

Try just unchecking the checkbox instead of the red circle with the X
Click update

Thank you,

Hi James,

Tried your suggestion and they still appear on the dropdown menu and below the modules(settings only of course).

Thanks though.

If your settings are maintaining their state by changing the security setting, exit then go back into settings and the values remain, then you probably have a cache problem.

Try clearing the cache and restarting the website in host settings, if this doesn’t correct the problem go into the file system and delete all of the files located in the “portals > _default > Cache” directory.

The values on the screen do change but the behaviour does not. I cleared the cache files and restarted the application but nothing changed. They still get all the options.

Thanks
