I have about 7 modules that i have checked to be on every page.  When I create a new page these modules are duplicated several times(4-5 each).  I can spend as much as 10-20 minutes deleting all these modules.  Is there anyone that is having the same problem?  How can I fix this? Forgot to mention im running dnn 6.1

this can happen if you've accidentally updated the default page template to contain module references - to test this when you create a new page, change the template to none (or empty - i cant recall the term right now). If that resolves it then you'll want to change the template either by exporting a new one (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Page-templates.aspx) or by manually editing e.g.for portal 0 if you look in Portals\0\Templates for the Default.page.template file and edit it to remove any unneeded module nodes (the default only has 1)

this can also happen if you have the display module on all pages checkbox set (http://weblogs.asp.net/christoc/archive/2008/07/31/dotnetnuke-tip-module-setting-display-module-on-all-pages.aspx) - you can check if this is the case by running the following sql (e.g. via the host->sql menu) - SELECT * FROM [dbo].[Modules] where AllTabs=1

I get 87 results. How do I figure out which modules these 87 are? and can I delete the unwanted ones?
