Is there a default, blank or vanilla skin available with all  the elements included that a person can DL for use as a skeleton for creating their own skin?

Thanks!

I am not aware of any, but there are a number of free skins on codeplex and in the community (though not always easy to find, I admit).

I'm not sure such a thing would be useful.

"Blank" and "Contains all the elements" seem to be in conflict to me.  You put an element there, and style it, for a reason.

It might be a misunderstanding.  In DNN ther is no prescribed set of elements you *must* have.  Your skin/container/modules combination defines the set of elements you have and that can (and probably should) be unique to your site.

I understand your question a little differently - you want a skin that you can tweak / reverse engineer?

If so there are quite a few of them on Codeplex. These are all the entries in the skin design contests and are pretty new. New meaning DNN 5.x - I don't thank any of them are built around DNN 6 yet.

Thank you for the replies, (and sorry for the delay in responding)

@Richard, yes I guess that does seem a little confusing. Instead of blank "vanilla" might be a better word. I understand that there are not any you MUST have but to have a starting point that includes all available would be nice to be able to pick and choose from.

@Greg & Sebastian, yes but I want to avoid being influenced by seeing how someone else did it, because I would be forced to work around their design and "alter' it. You also run the risk on missing out on a feature that may be perfect for your site, but you are unaware of it because it was not included on the site you are altering.

Does that help clarify?
