I need to create a way for registered users to be able to upload photo images and insert them into something similar to a forum post. Our company currently offers our intranet (SharePoint) users the ability to post pictures and information about things that are important to them. I have created a DNN site where our remote employees can log in to get the latest company news. We want to offer these remote folks the ability to have an "Employee Page" similar to what the intranet users have. I think the DNN Form module (core forum module for DotNetNuke) might work for the "guts" of the solution. But, I need a way for users to upload images without having to touch the File Manager. I am wondering if the DNN Media Gallery Module might work...but I have no idea HOW. Any ideas appreciated!

I really am trying to help myself here! I think what I want to know is, "How or where do I get a forum module that uses an editor like the one this forum uses?

I have tried adjusting the privileges on my File Manager, but I can't seem to accomplish what I need, which is:
Users need to be able to upload images but should NOT have access to see or edit images that have been added / managed by the Admin. For instance, with the editor on this forum here, I can upload any type of media that I wish, but I cannot see (or touch) anything that someone else has uploaded.

Hi,

It's been a while since I worked with SharePoint but my first thought was why not keep things simple and open up your existing SharePoint site to external users?

However, if you want to use DNN, then you can download the core Forum from CodePlex http://dnnforum.codeplex.com/ (where you can also find all the other core modules).

Just wanted to report back on the solution I found and used.
http://helferleinform.codeplex.com/
The Helferlein Form is an easy-to-use module for DotNetNuke that allows creating forms. However, it ALSO allows displaying form submissions. The admin can set it up so that all submissions must be approved before they are posted. Users can upload pictures that will be displayed through a link. The admin can set up an expiration time so that older postings are cleared out. The form can be extremely simple and can include a captcha for security.
