Is it possible to upgrade my version 5.0 and stay within the last 5.x release?  I have a lot of modules installed and don't want to deal with the headache of not being compatible with v6.  I am looking at creating a new box and installing 6 fresh and giving clients the opportunity to upgrade if they desire.

So long as you aren't using the premium module functionality, you can go to 5.6.3. Otherwise go to 5.5.1

I suggest using the upgrade path located here in the Dotnetnuke Wiki. The instructions located here are also very helpful. I especially appreciate the video at the bottom of the page "Upgrading Via FTP" since that is the only way I can upgrade the site I maintain.

A lot of folks can only do things via FTP, while it can be difficult, it is still possible to maintain the site.

I forget how spoiled I can get with remote server access for most of my installations.

If you guys have ideas for other videos feel free to let me know training @ dnncorp.com
