I migrated to a new server, and when I tried to access the site i got an error. everything worked fine on the other server now it doesnt on the new server.   What does this mean and how do i fix it?

Server Error in '/' Application.

Could not load file or assembly 'DotNetNuke.Modules.RazorHost' or one of its dependencies. This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. 

Exception Details: System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'DotNetNuke.Modules.RazorHost' or one of its dependencies. This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded.

Wanted to make an update. I migrated another site to the new server today and everything works great so its not the host server. does anyone know what i can do?

The Razor Host module requires that the site be running in an ASP.NET 4.0 application pool rather than 2.0/3.5 which the migrated site is using.

The Razor Hst module needs ASP.Net 4
So for some reason you have installed that module.
Either let the application run ASP.Net 4 or remove the razor host dll.


OOOps I was late in my post. Was taking a small nap...

WOW, I was pulling my hair out trying to figure this out.  I forgot about the app pool.  Thank you, that fixed the problem.
