Hi,
I am new user of DotNetNuke. I am doing a project for my client. They have running booking system with some bug in it. now they want to remove the bug and make need some new features in it. Old booking system build in asp with SQL database.

Now my job is to make their system from scratch. but they need the previous data as it is. Now i created a DotNetNuke portal with webinar. now in sql server i have two database 1 for DotNetNuke and 1 database hold the booking system.

Now i want to use booking system database in the pages.

can anyone give some useful information or links how i can make a connection to an other database in the DotNetNuke. How i can show the data in the page and save the changes or new data in the database.

Thanks alot in advance.

Regards,
Shahid Majeed

your module is free to access any data source, either web service, sql database or oledb data. for a second sql database I'd use a second connection string and in data layer of your DNN module (assuming you are using module templates from DNN starterkit package) you may modify data access accordingly for each custom data object.
