Hi,

Where would be the best place to place Module "startup" code?

What I'm doing (currently in my module's "home" page) is checking if all roles in a pre-defined enumeration exists, and if not create them programatically

However I'm not comforatable with running this procedure (1) only when the main view are accessed and (2) every time the main view are being accessed.

Thanks in Regards,
Krok

the best way to do this is via IUpgradeable - see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W... for more details.

Please note, I often find that when people are trying to create custom roles, really what they're trying to do is create custom permissions - if this is the case I recommend adding them as part of the manifest - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W...
