I have set up a portal for my customers and provided them wth external login form for their respective websites.

When a user logs in from the external login form and does not close their browser or logout, then attempts to login again, they are directed to the Login tab and get the "Access Denied:  You do not have access to view this tab within the portal." message.

When I attempt to change page permissions to unauthenitcated and registered users and add a "you are already logged in" message in a text module with registered user permissions, the site throws a "critcal error"  --> return to site message.

How can I get both authenticated and loged in users to view the login page with different content?

Set the Login page permission to ALL USERS

then set the Login Module to UnAuthentcated users
then add a HTML Module to the page and set it to Registered users
