I installed DNN 6 on my Development Server and everything was fine with the Mega Menu. When I moved the Install over to the Publishing Server, my Mega Menu was hidden by any image that was on the page that was overlapped by the mega menu.

My first though was the z-index, or something must have happened during the file transfers. After attempting to trouble shoot the problem without luck, I just re-installed a fresh copy of DNN on the Production Machine. I am still having a problem with the Mega Menu hiding itself behind the “Getting Started” banner and the image in the Home Screen “Awesome Cycles” All I did after the new install was add one blank
page as a child of home, everything else is the default webpage.

My assumption is that it must be a setting in IIS (but that is just a guess). I don’t know anything about IIS and have limited knowledge about CSS. ANY HELP would be appreciated.

there were a few z-index issues correctly in 6.0.1, so I'd recommend an uprade to 6.0.2 (though i dont recall seeing this one - what browser are you running, and if it's IE are you in compatibility mode?)

Thanks for the response, I am actually using ie9 but the thing about it, it works fine (same version) on the development server. What I am going to do (after working on it all day), is install it with a script http://mikevdm.com/DNN. Preliminarily, it looks like it is working… We will see.

Just in case anyone else is having this same problem, what I found is that ie9 was displaying the site in "Internet Explorer 9 Compatibility View". When I switched to viewing the site in "IE9 Standard View" the site displayed properly.

To fix this, I used the following link:

Thanks for the link. This occurred to me with DNN 6.0.2 using the Default Extrophy Skin. This seemed to work in IIS headers:

X-UA-Compatible   IE=9
