All,
I'm a newbie to DNN. I created a new skin, sampleSkin, using Visual studio plugin for DNN. This created a skin with htm template. After which I tried to create a header skin, myheader, under admin\skins folder. In the htm template skin, I tried to use [MYHEADER]. for some reason, the parser is not recognizing my new header. I made an entry in the ModuleControls table for my new header as well.

Can any of you help me in identifying what I'm missing? you can point me to a form/blog which has pointers in creating a custom skin too.

Thanks.
Ananth

you cannot use custom skin objects, unless they are installed and registered as type Skin Object in DotNetNuke (in Host > Extensions).
