We need to incorporate coldfusion programming into a DotNetNuke site. We have CF server setup with DNN on the same server. Example: A login page, consisting of a simple login form. OnSubmit, jQuery/Ajax calls a coldfusion web service to check the credentials, returning a success flag. I am brand new to DotNetNuke and don't even know if this can be accomplished. Googling reveals next to nothing, which probably isn't a good sign. If anyone can provide a real simple example of how to do this, I would be extremely grateful.

you can create your own custom authentication provider for dotnetnuke and use it against any application logic you choose such as executing a webrequest http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Authentication_Providers.aspx

I had to deal with requirement of ColdFusion/DNN co-existing a while back.  I created a custom login module to allow to login DNN using credential from external database.  The external database front-end is ColdFusion.
