I am not sure what did and did not happen here. Can you offer up more details? For example...

What did you try to do?
What did you expect to happen?
What actually happened?
What version of DotNetNuke and Media are you running?

What is it like to do? Import avi file
What do you expect to happen? import
What really happened? swf files only import error
Which version of DotNetNuke and Media are running? DNN 5.6.01 - DNN_Media 4.0.0

I still don't know what you actually tried to do...  What do you mean by "import avi file?"  Can you please be much more specific on your descriptions?  Otherwise, I cannot help you.
