Something bizarre is happening on one of my portals

It is on Version 5.6.2(144)

Is there any scenario why it would think the root folder is one level higher than it actually is? This problem is only on this portal.

It currently looking for a file in /Portals1/Portals/12/OpenFiles ...........

Portals1 is actually the DNN Installation folder. Maybe a setting I'm missing

Forgot to mention. Its not just one portal or one module causing issue.

It ranges over all portals and different modules and even some DNN modules are doing same
