I've added protal alias as http://mymachome.com/dnn, and I can login as 'Host' user on a local machine.

But when I login  from a remote machine using the account 'host', I cannot see the administration menu (such as Home, Host, Admin). Shown as follows:

It shows that I'm logged in as SuperUser Account, but why I can't see the admin menu item?

Am I missiing something?

Ok! I got it. It's because I have the highest security level for IE on the remote machine.

After I change IE's security level to medium, the problem is gone.

First of all congrats on fixing your own problem without anyone helping!
Second of all, how did you manage to get http://www.mymachome.com/dnn to work? Did you already have a site there, or  was it a fresh setup by dnn? I'm *sort* of having the same problem as described here but I can't even get as far as you did: I can only register as a new user and login that way on a remote machine; can't sign in at all as host or admin. =P

any tips would be lovely~

Since I'm using DNN 4.0, and I never tried DNN 3.x, so I don't know what's going on for your situation.

I didn't read much document or manual either, so I guess I'm just lucky.
