A new version of Events (05.02.01) is in the DNN release tracker. Click on this link to follow the formal DNN module release process. This Events version is also available as Release Candidate download on CodePlex.

For this version, all know bugs issues were covered and we implemented some performance enhancements. A detailed list of these issues involved can be found on CodePlex. For the record, I will list the release notes here.

BUG FIXES

  • Added validation around category cookie
  • RSS feed was missing an explicit close of the file when writing. Fixed.
  • Added extra security into detail view
  • .ICS Files did not include correct line folding. Fixed
  • Change Event Owner DDL did not populate correctly on 5.2.0. Fixed
  • RSS only worked when NOT logged in. Fixed
  • Recurring event 'Until' date is shown as 01/01/0001. Fixed
  • Repeater mode did not hide List icon on icon bar. Fixed
  • Remove a
from Events that was not needed
  • Naming a colour i.s.o. colour number in the category setting caused errors. Fixed.
  • .ICS files summary was not properly escaped. Fixed.
  • Detail page URL generated incorrectly for page link in child portals. Fixed.

ENHANCEMENTS

  • All .css and .js files are compressed/minified in the PA Install pack, the original uncompressed versions are in the Source pack

CHANGES

  • Changed category lookup into CategoryId, because URLScan software might block ajax calls during navigation

Please note

This is a not a formal Release of DNN Events 05.02.01. This is a Release Candidate, which is not formally tested. Please be aware that this version is based upon code and database changes. The version represents the latest compiled version of the DotNetNuke Events Module. This is a build that has not passed through the DotNetNuke Module Release Process. The build has received testing and is made available 'as-is', therefore any usage is at your on risk. Like any beta software it is not recommended to install on production systems. Upgradeability from a RC version to a later RC or production version cannot be guaranteed.
