The .pdf user manuals are a nice resource, albeit quite lengthy.

What would be really useful is if they had page numbers.  Or if there was an html version where I could link to specific articles.  Then I could actually use them to support my site's users by pointing them at specific sections where they frequently have questions, usually around the editor and uploading/linking images and files.

How are others dealing with this?  I used to write up custom instructions, but the updates required for all the changes in 6.0 made me abandon this and look to leveraging the standard docs.  Unfortunately with the extreme length of the docs and lack of page numbers it is very difficult to tell a user "go here" to find the answer to their question.  I realize there are links within the doc and you can search, but that is not a great solution for inexperienced and casual DNN users.

I requested this a little while back and as far as I understand they are added for the forthcoming 6.1.0 versions of the manuals.

I completely agree.  It isn't that hard to add page numbers to a document!

it was actually a drawback of the tool we used for the documentation as it supports a few formats for output (such as html) some of which didnt require page numbers. As mentioned it should be resolved with the 6.1.0 documentation which is due today.
