I upgraded one of my sites (www.nederland-noorwegen.nl) from DNN 4.9.3 to DNN6.0.2 (I did follow the instructions in the wiki).

When I performed the upgrade on my local system the result was a fully operational site. I was confident that that the upgrade of the live site would be a peice of cake, but boy was I wrong. The upgrade process went as planned but when I tried to log on, the logon screen was empty. After some fiddling around I found out that when I switch languages back and forth the login screen appears and I could log on successfully. Everything looks well but many of the admin functions do not work. When I press Extensions, File Manager, Users in the control panel the server emits a blank page, so essentially I cannot do anything as host/admin.

The page source in the browser is empty and an http trace indicates a '200' result with a body size of '0'. Since my local copy of the site is running well, I copied all files over to the live site, but the problems remained. So it could be a database issue. I copied the database of the live site to my local system and it still runs fine.

Now I run out of ideas and I have spent already a considerable number of days and the frustration level is rising quickly. Is there anybody out there that can tell me how to proceed.

Thanks in advance
Jos Driessens

please make sure, you diabled compression in host settings and are not running in debug mode (see web.config)

Sebastian, thanks for your suggestion. I checked the settings but the problem remains.

Because I could not fix the problems in DNN6.0.2 I upgraded my local site to 6.1 and copied the files over to the live site. This solved the problem.
