Hi,

My custom modules log certain events.  I need to increase the default maximum length (500 chars) of logged attributes.   Not being as familiar with C# as VB - can anyone tell me where I would have to make this change?    I suspect I will have to make a change to the core to facilitate this change.

Ideally, there would be no maximum size restriction.  If it's easier just to implement a different value, I'd like to change it to 3,000 chars.

Thanks in advance.

You may alter the size of the database field, but there might be a limit in the business layer as well.

The LogProperties field in the EventLog table is type ntext.  The change has to be made in the code somewhere...

Do not use LogInfo.AddProperty("Name", "Value"), this "AddProperty" method truncates values to 500 chars, use
LogInfo.LogProperties.Add(New LogDetailInfo("Name", "Value")), this will save any string length.
