You are funny, Carlos. Really.

This just proves my point. So many skins out there and not one of them is unique. Timo and Erik's skins are nice but we have seen similar skins before, haven't we? Please do not misunderstand me because I do admire your hard work and knowledge. Please trust me when I say that because I cannot write one html line. I have respect for skills.

When DNN changed it's skin to the current one. I was very impressed and now I am like Meh. I remember seeing one skin long time ago but the website is not up anymore.

Even the competition skins are not that impressive. The 2010 competition skins were decent but 2011 skins are meh. Some are outright horrible. Some look like they just took the 2010 skins and changed the color, and added columns here and there. I can do that and I don't even know how to write any code. Dear Vendors, they are competition skins. Show how creative you are if you want my (our) business! Like I said before, I respect your skills but I would love to see your imagination.

Now, please do not bash me. I admit that something could be wrong with me. I also realize that some people can never be happy and maybe I am one of them or maybe I am just wrong. So please save your time and energy.

However, please do post the links to the websites that have impressed you the most and continue to do so.

@Frozen - The issue is not a skin issue.  I am not aware of any design which is incapable of being rendered in DotNetNuke.  When you look at skins on Snowcovered, you are looking at generic work that can work for many customers.  They are not designed to be super flashy because few companies actually want that for their professional sites. Likewise, when companies pay for a site design they are selecting designs which meet their own internal sense of what looks great.  Also, many sites share common characteristics and aren't truly unique because years of experience by designers have led to a set of best practices which unfortunately tends to result in similar look and feels. If you truly want a unique design, then you should commission a designer to build one.

My personal experience is that no matter what design you select, you will grow tired of it.  I really liked the DotNetNuke 6 design when we first started working on it, but by the time DNN 6 came out, I was tired of the design.  The same happened with every other site I have worked on.  In fact, the same is true of my house and my car.  They were awesome when they were new but quickly lost their lustre.

Frozen -

Here's my last one and it's a bit more creative than the others. We did this one last year and I was reluctant to mention it because it is flash heavy.
