Hi

I am building a custom profile update module.

I want to validate the email address but use the reg expression from user settings.

Can anyone tell me where in the API I can grab this value?

thanks

Gus

ps: anyway know a good guide to using the API with code examples, preferably in c# ?  What does everyone else use?

The best source of most API documentation at this point (all in my opinion, and not reflective of the opinion of my employer) is to take a look at the Source version of DNN, as well as the 6.1.1 - Core API Help File that you can download from codeplex.

I don't know offhand how to access the regex for email validation, but will see if I can't figure it out when I get this new machine configured and have access to the source code again.

thanks, I will get a copy of the source and have a look. For now it's hard coded, not ideal but it can wait.
