Thought I'd try something a little different and ask the community to post a little something about their favorite DNN modules, free or paid.

Let's keep each entry to a single post...

Bonosoft - Multipage Content

This "FREE" module has stood the test of time and still works remarkabley well in DNN 6. I've used this module as far back as DNN 3 and just did an extranet in DNN 6 where it came in extremely useful.

Module simply allows you to have a single module to display multiple pages of content (as the name implies).

I do wish Bonosoft would update the module a bit to allow some better styling/formatting options, and possibly have AJAX loaded content.

BUT, overall, a great module and best of all FREE.

60 views and not one of you has a module you "like", "love", or can't create a site without?

Alrighty - cool idea...

I'm pretty new to all of this, I haven't played with many modules, and I know it's a bit of a cop-out... But I think the Form and List (UDT)  module is cool. Its flexibility makes it really helpful in a number of situations.

Thanks guys,

Mike

The problem is, that in my opinion there are not that many good DotNetNuke modules out there.

I like ImageResizing.NET (an image handler) that works very well in integrated mode in  IIS7. Or as an alternative Microsoft's GeneratedImage library.

The greatest thing I have ever done recently to speed up my work flow is recompile Form and List in order for it to allow for ExtensionObjects. It scans the web application's assemblies for classes that implement a custom interface. It creates instances of these classes with reflection, caches them, and adds them to the compiled XSL output. Since .NET is limited to XSLT 1.0, this is really nice. Of course this is just a panacea, I'd love to see a true content type system in DNN. Which I got a feeling is not going to happen. Ever.
