Hi,

I am wondering if anyone knows some good lines to add to the friendly URL re-writer to remove tabid, ctl and mid from the url and maintain page functionality.

Thanks for the help

Mark

do you really need to rewrite URL for file upload? this shouldn't be a URL visible to most users.

Thanks for the reply

It's more about a clean look. This page is client facing and really just want it to be as simple as it can be. There are a few other kinds of pages like this as well.

Having the same trouble, can't figure out where to start from to get a nice URL...

BTW, I've noticed that blog pages on the dotnetnuke site don't use neither tabid, nor mid, nor ctl e.g. http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Blogs/EntryId/3230/DotNetNuke-Voted-Best-NET-Open-Source-CMS.aspx

instead of

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Blogs/tabid/645/ctl/ViewEntry/mid/1234/EntryId/3230/Default.aspx

... so I assume it to be possible to do so. It would have been even nicer if even EntryId could have been removed (along with additional slashes) and put into the pagename (for uniqie URL) with format like:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Blogs/3230-DotNetNuke-Voted-Best-NET-Open-Source-CMS.aspx

Any ideas?
