Hi

I am facing problem while insatlling DotnetNuke the error message is like that:-

Could not find file 'D:\dotnetnuke\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\DotNetNuke_template.mdf'.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'D:\dotnetnuke\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\DotNetNuke_template.mdf'.

Source Error:

The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:

1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example:

  <%@ Page Language="C#" Debug="true" %>

or:

2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application:

<configuration>
   <system.web>
       <compilation debug="true"/>
   </system.web>
</configuration>

Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode.

Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario.

Stack Trace:

[FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'D:\dotnetnuke\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\DotNetNuke_template.mdf'.]
   System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) +2014237
   System.IO.File.InternalCopy(String sourceFileName, String destFileName, Boolean overwrite) +488
   DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider.GetProviderPath() +220
   DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.GetUpgradeStatus() +335
   DotNetNuke.Common.Global.CheckVersion() +187
   DotNetNuke.Common.Global.Application_Start(Object Sender, EventArgs E) +316

Can anyone help me to find the solution .

waiting for some reply

thanks

Samrat

I don't know if you have been able to fix the problem, but Kimberly's posting might be helpful
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/107/threadid/39895/scope/posts/Default.aspx
She suggests to download a file from http://www.johnczimmerman.com/

I have had a similar case. While I am aware that getting a patch for problems may entail sever other security issues, it seems to work.
