Throughout the last 2 years of becoming versed in DNN I find that most of the performance issues are SQL related. I have found some good info here and there in regards to SQL scripts that can make our lives easier. For example:

Here is a table truncate script that can help clean up unused items in the database:

TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}EventLog
GO
TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}ScheduleHistory
GO
TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SiteLog
GO
TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItemWordPosition
GO
DELETE FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItemWord
GO
DELETE FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchWord
GO
DELETE FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItem
GO

I have also found on these pages some good infor in regards to Finding and Fixing Tab Levels, TabPaths and Missing Tab ContentItemIds - Also for Finding Duplicate TabOrders

Does anyone have any tips they would like to share in this thread for fixing and finding issues with DNN and SQL? I would like to have a repository of some of the best tips to help us all out. Anyone care to share?

Whilst I'd always discourage people from running direct SQL (as there is no guarantee that it will work or will not break something e.g. cause a referential integrity issue), I can appreciate that there are some useful scripts out there and think this is a good idea. I think the best place for it would be the wiki (I can create a page) - any opinion on what would be a sensible page title?

Great! I understand this should only be used by people that have experience running scripts and should have some type of disclaimer about running them. As you said though it could be useful.

Helpful SQL Scripts?

I would settle for anything really :)
