Upgrading to DNN 6.1.2 got me some errors? Is that something that needs to be adjusted right away or can it be done further along the road?

The only one that would worry me is . . .

Executing Application Upgrades: 06.00.00 Error!

There were huge changes made to both the filesystem and the database in 6.00.00, some of which may not have occurred correctly or at all. I would check the following for any errors that may have been logged during the upgrade:

1. When logged in as host user, Admin -> Event Viewer

2. Log file: /Providers/DataProviders/SqlDataProvider/06.00.00.log.resources

3. Log 4 net files: /Portals/_default/Logs/yyyy.mm.dd.log.resources where yyyy, mm and dd are numeric year, month and day respectively.

My general feeling about upgrade errors is that it is best to take care of them at the time of the upgrade or at least know that they are benign before moving on to later versions.

Hi All,

I am trying to upgrade another client site based on the security recommendations by DNN Corp but running into problems.

The site is running DNN 5.6.2 and I have tried every upgrade path (5.6.4 to 5.6.7 to 6+) but each time in the upgrade script it reports the following failure:

Executing Application Upgrades: 06.00.00 Error!

The rest of the upgrade reports success and the website seems to work, but I am hesitant to release it to the production server.

There are no errors in the Event Log, yet the following cryptic error appears in the 06.00.00_Application.log.resources file:

Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.   at DotNetNuke.Services.Upgrade.Upgrade.UpgradeToVersion600() at DotNetNuke.Services.Upgrade.Upgrade.UpgradeApplication(String providerPath, Version version, Boolean writeFeedback) 

I've run through the install 5 times taking a different version upgrade path each time, verified permissions, and still get the same result. I even set customerrors to off in the web.config file and set debugging to true but no further errors appear.

Any help would be appreciated and I am anxious to get all sites upgraded based on the number of open security risks. I can open an issue in Gemini, but wanted to ask around first.

I;ve got the same error, and it looks like the site is running fine.
But I woul dreally like to know what this could be????
