Steve's template includes a web service.

So, I have to make a module with that template and install it on my VM Website? Or can I just take out the webservice and throw it on the website?

Would it be possible if I just took the .asmx, the .cs, and just added the correct connection string to my dnn web.config to get it working?

Off the top of my head - I don't really know. I'd approach it by getting the template module built installed and working.

Then start stripping bits you think you don't need. When it stops working, you were wrong about not needing that last part.

Don't do too much at once.

I never saw a .asmx in that template so I went back to my original plan. I'll give my idea a try and if that works it works. If not I'll try the module, but I've never made a module before so this just keeps piling up the work I need to do.
