I would like to make a quick and simple change to a modules .ascx file. How do I upload the .ascx file to the DesktopModules folder? When I try to access it via ftp the login fails. I can use the Host > File Manager and Admin > File Manger but I don't see the DesktopModules folder only the Host Root & Portal Root. I'm setup as a SuperUser but I can't figure out what I'm missing. I'm sure this is a very simple thing but as you can tell I'm fairly new to the DNN platform. I'm using DotNetNuke Version 06.01.01 (12) Community Edition.

Thanks,

Victor

Hi,

From the file manage within the DNN you do not have access to the desktopmodules.

I think you need to use FTP to upload the file.

I must be missing something I believe my Host setting are wrong because when I try to connect using FireFTP my login attempts fail. I get the message "530 Login or Password incorrect." I'm using my SuperUser account and it still fails. Is it possible that I don't have privileges or do I have the Host setting wrong?

For my login I have:
Account: ftp://dev.earlepress.com
Host:http:ftp.dotnetnuke.com

ID:
Login:XXXXXXXX
Password:XXXXXX

Thanks,
Victor

Hi Victor, you're trying to login with your DNN credentials? You need to log in to your hosting provider's control panel and set up a FTP account.
