I have been asked to take over a site that looks to be built on DNN, but the portal seems to have a name rather than a number...

For example, the source of the site says: /Portals/ADS/Skins/ADSskin/images/footerbg.jpg

Is it possible to have a portal ID be alphabetical like ADS?

I'm used to them being numbers I guess.  I don't have administrator access yet but i'm nearly positive the site has an old DNN framework running...

Thanks

Yes, when creating the new portal in DNN 6 you can click Customize and enter a name in the Home Directory field, otherwise the system will allocate a number. This function was in previous versions as well.

please note: the portalID is always a number, but you may customize the home directory name.

Thanks, Sebastian, that's what I meant to say but it's morning here in the UK and my caffeine boost hasn't kicked in yet (again)!
