I am working on a new DNN 6 site. I have given all the pages the pages registered user permissions.
I have setup one user account and when I login with that account it says:
You do not have access to view this tab within the portal.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

This would indicate that the registered user DOES NOT have access to the page that is being displayed after login.

If the LOGIN page is set to Un-Registered users only - you need to make sure that you have a Redirect After Login setup to ensure that the user is redirected to a page they can actually access.

Do I need to create a login page? I was just using the default one that was there after installing DNN. Can you tell me where I set the redirect after login?

Log in as Admin.

Go to the Admin - > User Settings module 

Hover over the Manage button and select User Settings from the popup.

On the 3rd tab of the User Settings module ( User Accounts) scroll down till you come to the Redirect after Login option

Please make sure as well. the page doesn't have a start or end date out of scope.
