I upgraded a large site from 6.0.2 to 6.0.3 and now have trouble adding roles to previous users, and those users can no longer login. BUT, I can add a new user and role and login.

The error:

Error: is currently unavailable. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Security.Membership.AspNetMembershipProvider.UpdateUserMembership(UserInfo user) at DotNetNuke.Security.Membership.AspNetMembershipProvider.UpdateUser(UserInfo user) at DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController.UpdateUser(Int32 portalId, UserInfo user, Boolean loggedAction) at DotNetNuke.Security.Roles.RoleController.AddUserRole(UserInfo objUser, RoleInfo objRole, PortalSettings PortalSettings, DateTime effDate, DateTime expDate, Int32 userId, Boolean notifyUser) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Security.SecurityRoles.cmdAdd_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I also notice that MOST of the UserCredentials display even though the dbo.Users.CreatedOnDate has the proper dates :

1/1/0001 12:00:00 AM

1/1/0001 12:00:00 AM

1/1/0001 12:00:00 AM

1/1/0001 12:00:00 AM

I can't find garbage or missing data in the DB, so...

Thoughts anyone?

AFAIK the date issue is an issue in that version, which has been solved in DNN 6.1.x. you may use Admin Roles to assign users to roles if assigning roles to users does not work in your version.

Thanks Sebastian. I thought I might be losing it. I did figure out a bit of a data swap did the work I needed to do for a few weeks, so hopefully that will coincide with a release. Fingers crossed.

Much appreciated.
