Hello good peole,

Well, DotNetNuke has done a fantastic job for me and it was very easy to go through webmatrix. However, I need to build few modules and I am unable to setup the module development environment, maybe because I have setup DNN through webmatrix. Although there is wonderful documentation available for setting up, but can you people please guide me how to setup module development for those who have setup DNN through webmatrix.

Anyways DNN rocks!!!!

Thanks and best Regards

Currently doing development within web matrix is difficult. If you can try to setup your environment using the steps described in the Wiki

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W...

I'll see if we can't come up with a story around how to do development using webmatrix, but that may take a bit to get ironed out.

Saad, you'll have to provide more information if you want help. I don't know what problem you're having with trying to set DNN up in IIS6.

Thanks Chris problem solved.

Well, the problem was that I was unable to install DNN because of missing prerequisites. Then I downloaded all those missing stuff separately and then I was able to install WPI. While setting up DNN I got errors with database , re-installed server 2008 express edition and it worked fine..

After installations when I was deploying DNN website from my laptop to company's local sever it had issues.. Anyways I haven't worked much in my laptop so it wasn't a pain for me to start a website from scratch all over again.

Then my development team and my manager wanted this website to be accessible by them as well. I got some error in web.Config.. So, I had to change the asp.net version to 4 for application pool in IIS 6.. Finally, it worked

and all is well now :)
