The dnn:DnnFilePicker  shows file url as if file was an image, can I switch that feature off?

<dnn:DnnFilePicker runat="server" ID="fpiCVpdf"  ShowUpLoad="True"  FileFilter=".pdf" UsePersonalFolder="true" Enabled="false"/>


I am using it to upload .pdf files and dont want it to try and view the pdf files. Can this be done?

if nobody has any answer for that question maybee you can advice me on another server control to use than the <dnn:DnnFilePicker onefor the purpose of upploading pdf files to be stored in a websafe maner?


with websafe I mean stored with an extension not downloadable

I believe there are 2 options to reach what you want:

1. The DnnFilePicker uses an HTML img-tag for previewing the image. That makes it possible to use CSS to hide that img-tag (path to the img-tag is: div .dnnFilePicker > div .dnnLeft > img).

2. Use the UrlControl instead of the DnnFilePicker, and disable URL-input for it (unless you decide to offer that option to your users as well, of course). Then you'll basically have a DnnFilePicker, but without the preview-image.
