Quick question about child portals. I did some searching but all the info I could find was from 2007 and further back.

If I create child portals, does it allow users from the parent portal to log in using their own info?

This may be something that gets answered in the process of creating the child portal, I'd just rather know before hand.

If so, can I create a child portal only for certain user roles?

The only account that can log in to the entire site, including all portals, is the admin/host account. All other accounts are portal specific.

actually, the admin account grants access to its own site(s) only, whereas the host account has permission to manage all portals and common settings.
