Hi All,

Downloaded http://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com/releases/view/81081#DownloadId=336120

I need to setup the DNN in local environment for development and customization. When I run the above code I got the following error. If I need to set up DB and IIS setting manually for this latest version of DNN please help me with any ref document how to do the same?

In the file Global.cs under the lines string strMessage = DataProvider.Instance().GetProviderPath(); Getting the following error message

"{"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."}"

DownloadId 336120 is the source code version of DotNetNuke 6.1.3. Unless you are already experienced with installing DotNetNuke I do not recommend that you install the source version at this time.

Even if you will be developing modules or other extensions in VS 2010, you only need to install the install version. In either case, you will need to first setup IIS and an empty MS SQL database. For module development I do not recommend using the attached SQL Express database file in the App_Data folder.

For more information on installing the new install package, please see this Wiki page: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W...

You may find the following installation videos also helpful: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/V...

If, after getting comfortable in setting up the new install package, you still want to do a source install, note that the source version requires you to rename either debug.config or release.config file to web.config AND compile the solution. Fore more details on a source install, please see the following Wiki page: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W...
