I've been excited about the new "store-your-files-in-the-database" feature in DNN 4.3.  So as soon as I saw it out I downloaded and installed a new 4.3 site to play with it.  Unfortunatly I ran into a few problems and I just want to see if others are having similar issues.

Install steps
1 - Extracted "Install" zip into new folder on my XP Pro machine
2 - Granted ASP.NET user "Modify" rights to folder
3 - Setup a VD pointing to new folder
4 - Create new SQL2005 DB
5 - Modified web.config database connection strings pointing to new DB
6 - Browsed to site and install went as expected

Here is what didn't work
1 - Created a new "Secure - database" folder in Admin --> File Manager and granted "All Users" View permissions.
2 - Uploaded a PNG to the new folder (this worked)
3 - Tried to upload a small DOC file, file did not transfer and no error message or anything in log
4 - Tried to upload another PNG, same problem.

And this...
1 - Added a new Links module
2 - Added a new link and switched to "File" type.
3 - Database folder does not show up in folder list but an "Insucure - File System" type one that I also added does

And this...
1 - Added a new HTML module
2 - Edited content, typed some stuff and clicked the "Link" button
3 - New window poped up with the site's home page and  the following error on it
     A critical error has occurred.
Using the Title property of Page requires a header control on the page. (e.g. <head runat="server" />).

4 - This error showed up in the Log.

Anybody else experienceing these problems?

I assume you are referring to the new Documents Module features. Correct? I was interested in those also. I was about to just upgrade my 4.03 version to 4.3. I think I’ll hold off.

However, I would be happy to set up a completely separate DNN installation and test some of these features to see if I get the same errors. But I tried multiple sites with version 3.2 a while back. When I tried dealing with the two sites in VS 2003 I had problems with managing the various solutions. It seems you have to make changes in the .sln files correct? I am now using VS 2005 and DNN 4.03 but have not tried to set up multiple sites. Is it any easier?

We have already identified a problem in the folder display on the urlcontrol. I'll see if your issues are related to this.

I also take note on the html - link problem.
Thanks.

Just in case this gets missed, the problem with the links button also happens on the smiley button (which also appears to be missing the image for the button).
