I have a number of DNN sites that I cannot log into when using Internet Explorer 9. It is worse on one computer than on another but the problem happens on the other computer at times also. I have cleared the cache and it doesn't help. These sites login fine in FF and Chrome. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

What version of DotNetNuke are you running?

What happens if you set IE9 to IE9 Compat mode?

What happens if you run "In Private" browsing and try to log in?

This site is in compatibility mode all the time
In Private browsing fixes the problem. I can log in fine in this mode.

Interesting. But what is the explanation? Why does in private mode make it work?

In Private browsing is a special case in browsers.

It limits the info written into/saved to the  cookie and then deletes it when you close the browser

You have to remember, 6.0 is now 8 months old and, more importantly, IE9 had not had it's 1st Service Pack when we released 6.0.

That said, I have no issues logging into 6.0 test sites with IE 9 so I have to ask...

Do you get any errors at all in the DotNetNuke Event Log/Viewer (admin --> Event Viewer) or in the log.resources file found @ ~\Portals\_default\Logs

Point taken about the version being old. I'll upgrade and re-evaluate. Thank you for your help!
