We are running into an issue using the Data Springs Dynamic Forms module - the question wizard requires DNN to talk to a service on their web server in order to work. The issue we are having is that with our network configuration, all outgoing internet traffic is required to go through our proxy server. We have gone into the host settings and put in our proxy ip address and authentication information and have also configured the web server that our DNN installation sits on to go through proxy. When we try to use the question wizard however, that request is still going straight to the firewall instead of going through proxy. Is there anything we are missing?

I suggest contacting DataSprings for support with their modules.

Sebastian -
I have been in touch with Data Springs (many times) they keep pointing me back to the host settings in DNN saying I need to set up the proxy settings there (which we have) but like I said, DNN is not directing traffic to the proxy server it is running straight at the firewall instead. Thank you for your time, I will try the Data Springs route again.

if all other traffic is going through your proxy server besides the one from a single module, it looks like the module is bypassing DNN settings, sorry.

We have not had a need to have our web server talk to another server before using the Dynamic Forms module so have not attempted to set up the proxy settings before. There is no other traffic going through our proxy server from our DNN server which is why it is hard to know if it is an issue with DNN not sending traffic the correct way or if it is the Data Springs module.
